As the Treasurer of the UNSW Business Society in 2025, I will ensure the society’s financial stability by strategically managing the inflows and outflows of resources to support our wide range of events. My focus will be on fostering strong connection and collaboration across all divisions, enabling them to thrive with the financial support they need, as well as driving our society’s internal culture. By building on and fortifying our existing internal processes, I will increase the efficiency of resource allocation and ensure the continued success of our portfolios. Additionally, I aim to elevate the value we are providing to the broader Business School community, providing the society funding necessary to innovate and exceed its current initiatives.
As Treasurer for 2025, I will prioritise building strong connections across all portfolios to ensure smooth financial decision-making. By collaborating closely with executives, directors and subcommittee alike, I will foster clear communication and transparency that will not only improve the efficiency of event planning, but also enhance our collective ability to create meaningful experiences for the entire Business school community. Through these connections, we will ensure BSOC remains a place of inclusivity and diversity, and that each portfolio is empowered to deliver its best.
To ensure the continued success of BSOC, I will fortify the treasury processes, building on the solid foundations established in previous years. My focus will be on strengthening existing internal financial systems with detailed reviews of historical statistics to ensure fund allocations are meticulously aligned with the needs of each portfolio. And by establishing clear goals and targets, I will safeguard the society’s financial health and create the resilience needed to support our wide array of events. Additionally, I aim to consistently provide value to the broader community by continuing to reinforce our relationship with both the UNSW Business School and Arc.
To drive BSOC towards excellence in 2025, I will focus on optimising treasury operations to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional value across all our events. I plan to refine our financial management by creating performance forecasts and projections for each semester, allowing us to set higher standards and achieve more precise budgeting. Moreover, I intend to facilitate the growth of BSOC and the experiences we offer to students by more purposefully directing funding into key areas that will allow portfolios to excel.
